Sections

Lectures are supplemented by weekly, 1 to 2-hour sections led by the course’s teaching fellows (TFs). Different sections are offered for those less comfortable, those more comfortable, those somewhere in between, and those “least comfortable,” who might not feel ready for studies in STEM, let alone programming, but who are still eager (if nervous!) to dive in too. Attendance at sections is expected.

If you have a conflict with your assigned section, please email heads@cs50.harvard.edu ahead of your section time. Unless it is a sickness related conflict, you’d be expected to attend another section that week to make-up your attendance.

The course’s section schedule is available at cs50.ly/sections. Sections will begin on 2026-09-09T12:00:00-04:00.

If you have a one-time conflict with your assigned section, you may attend any other section for the week in which you have a conflict: just email heads@cs50.harvard.edu, cc’ing your Teaching Fellow and the Teaching Fellow whose section you plan to attend.
If you have a recurring academic or athletic conflict with your assigned section, submit the section re-assignment form at cs50.ly/resection.
